Teddy & Hadley
We've decided to keep this website going with life updates and photos for our close family and friends, especially as we welcome our daughter into the world this May.

We are decidedly private people and do not use social media so we have chosen to share our photos on our website. We cordially ask you to refrain from sharing our daughter's name and photo on any social media pages. Thank you!
Our Love Story

Teddy and I have two different stories of how we met.
I remember my college friend (now bridesmaid), Beth, and I sitting around our dorm room bored one night. I had the crazy idea of going door to door giving out free hugs as a means of meeting new people in college and Beth, of course, agreed. Most people thought we were weird and gave us reluctant hugs. One person said no and shut the door on us. I remember Teddy because he seemed to actually like the distraction from studying and gave us the best hug of the evening. Not to mention he was quite handsome.

Teddy doesn't remember that, likely because he was too stressed about mid-terms. He recalls us meeting in a late night nerf war in the fine arts building. I did not have a nerf gun so I just used some socks inside a pillowcase so I could whack people. We fought alongside each other on the same team. Teddy with his foam sword and shield survived the battle a lot longer than me...

Teddy proposed in Pitlochery, Scotland-the small town where my parents first met. My mom, from Germany, missed her train and then by fate met my dad, from Texas. They talked for a few hours until my mom's next train arrived. My dad followed her. Roughly 40 years later we got engaged in the same spot.

Over the course of our relationship, we have established a pattern of spending months together followed by months apart. We've been separated by oceans, time zones, and natural disasters. We have Facetimed through the ups and downs of medical school and audition seasons and now we finally live together in Long Island, NY with too many cats.

Thank you to all our loved ones from all over who have been sharing in our adventure and giving us so much love and support as we embark on married life and parenthood.
